Hello here is today’s quote. I am feeling surprised that while I wrote this maybe 20 years ago it feels so very relaxant to these times. The photo was taken in central Oregon by my sister.

“In a free society, where terrible wrongs exist, some are guilty, but all are responsible.”

- Rabbi Abraham Heschel

Thoughts: In a free society, we are responsible to and/or for ourselves and our community and environment. One can sit idly by the wayside while prejudice and bigotry are acted out around us and say nothing, but the backlash of such silence too often carries consequences too horrible to easily integrate into our personal psyches. As a consequence, the more sensitive among us via our bodies and our communities act those consequences out for us. The very trauma of living through such an experience can manifest physically in the body of an individual and of a culture. It may be that it needs to so that soul, too often forgotten in tragic times, can come back into our awareness. Blessings ♥️
