customer: I have $82 left on my SNAP benefits, can you charge that first.
clerk: your remaining balance is $52.18
customer pays
clerk: thank you for your donation to Harvest Food Bank.
customer: I figure there are a lot of people out there, especially now, who are far worse off than me. I may not have much, but itβs something that will help someone else.
clerk: we put together these nice little bags for the food shelf, and I want you to know that your donation really matters.

It is so common that those who have the least are the ones who often donate with the biggest hearts.
