It certainly wasn’t for the weak or faint of heart. I saw many a strong man traumatized by the things they witnessed. I find it disgraceful that our government prioritizes the healthcare of illegal immigrants over our Veterans. Our veterans deserve healthcare as good as those in Congress!

I saw good men killed and the hardest thing I’ve ever done is write a letter to their families, saying they died for their country…a premise I struggle with.

I saw Taliban terrorists die for their cause and as much as I hated them, I found their passion to defend their barbaric lifestyle and evil religion to be strangely courageous. The Islamic cause is brainwashing at a level most will never understand…and yes that includes me.

Fortunately I returned to my family with only minor injuries and manageable PTSD, although I was seriously injured in a fire-fight, I had great doctors and have fully recovered, at least physically. I also have an MA in psychology so I volunteer at my local VA. It’s kind of a way of helping and healing at the same time.

Finally I was fortunate to return before the disastrous withdrawal under the Biden administration. It was a disgrace to all the brave men and women that served this nation, and I will never forget or forgive it.
