There is absolutely a need to be a snob about it.

It is your own unquestioning adoption of the zeitgeist that turns you into a zombie and lets the boogeymen do whatever. It is your own reluctance to live a principled life that gives power to these evil people. At any point, you DO have the choice to live life a better way. Take it from someone in the 3rd world before you call me privileged.
