Exceptional take on aesthetic standards in political messaging. The MSG tolerance metaphor is lowkey brilliant for describing how cultural consumption shifts across generations. Got alot of Australian friends who had the exact same visceral reaction to that film but couldn't articulate why. The bit about choosing beauty over ugliness even when making a politcal point cuts deeper than most aesthetic discourse tbh.
