I'm reading Vauhini Vara’s latest for the New Yorker, What if Readers Like A.I.-Generated Fiction?, and identified correctly the two AI passages and two of her own, whereas professional writers who know her work much better than I do failed completely. I didn't hesitate; to me there are two passages that are clearly human (not just hers specifically but distinctly human) and two that have distinct AI stylistic cues. You can try for yourself. I wonder if people are unfamiliar with AI signs or if I've developed a sort of high-quality radar for this stuff. Had zero doubt.
