My newsletter, The Algorithmic Bridge, is about to enter the top 30 in the technology category.
And yet who am I? No one, really.
I'm considering doing a post/series of posts (or, idk, an ebook or something) on growing a Substack newsletter from scratch (i.e., without being famous or having a big following anywhere).
I've seen people criticize the fact that most of Substack’s big names are people who were big names before Substack and that can be discouraging.
I wasn't a big name before—well, I wasn't even a name. I didn't start literally from scratch, though, but I don't think 700 people qualify as a big following here or elsewhere.
There are more than 700 people in my apartment building lol.
I think such a resource could (hopefully) be of help to writers who have already started and are in the first stages of growing, e.g., 100-500 free subs, perhaps even less.
Would anyone be interested in something like that?
