I don't know who needs to hear this but after having tried the new ChatGPT, Sonnet 3.5, DeepSeek, etc I can confidently say that AI is very far from being better at writing than the best human writers.

Like, not even close. And I think that getting there will take much more than AGI or whatever. AI will prove, more than anything before, how hard it is to write well.

It’d be really funny if the world became a place where great human writing gets the praise it deserves (economically and otherwise) in contrast to STEM thanks to AI.
