Speaking of Differently Free. For me, it was really valuable to work in a shared freelance office, alongside calligraphers, illustrators, soap makers, set designers and children’s book authors. What they all had in common was that they owned their time, and got by in different ways. It did me a great deal of good to have them around me, in a world otherwise shaped by security and conventional careers (which in practice means most Swedes). It was a wonderful time, the kind of life you imagined adulthood might be.

Do you have enough freelancers around you? If not, get some.

An honor to speak with Henrik and to meet those who are “differently free” than us. These collisions make our worlds bigger, and remind us that much is possible.
