People with fewer than 20 subscribers.
Come here.
I’ll explain how Substack works. Think of it as a party where you don’t know anyone. What do you do? You start by talking to the person next to you, then you move on, mingling, trying to find your people. So allow yourself to be free as a newcomer. That is, after all, the perk of being new. You have no history. You can be anyone. So why not try being fully yourself?
Write whatever you want, about those niche things you think only you care about. That’s how your people find you. Among the millions on this platform, there must be at least a hundred who get you completely. Write for them, even if you haven’t met yet.
What doesn’t work, however, is follow-for-follow, or replying to Notes that begin with “people with fewer than 20 subscribers”. Instead, use the internal search and look for your favourite artists, hobbies, or whatever keeps you going.
Just a tip. I wish you the best of luck finding a home here on Substack.
