the reality of said dream book deal: cutting 200k extra words, being told my book still has no clear hook, pub date gets pushed out by another 6 months to a year. which is a blessing bc this book is my legacy but DAMN

writers don’t get into writing to fluff our egos that’s for sure… we get into writing to dismantle our ego’s entire dentity 😂
