This Peptide Made My Face Look 5 Years Younger WITHOUT INJECTIONS (Hair got thicker too)
If you're familiar with peptides or anti-aging therapies, you've probably at least heard of GHK Copper (GHK-CU)
GHK-CU is a simple peptide made up of three amino acids: Glycine, Histidine, and Lysine bonded to a copper (CU) Fun fact: the abbreviation for lysine is K, hence GHK -Cu instead of GHL-Cu
So why is GHK the hottest anti-aging peptide on the block right now? To put it simply, GHK appears to help the body break down old/damaged tissue and replace it with new tissue.
Reports from researchers and patients taking GHK-CU suggest the following potential benefits:
- Skin repair
- Wrinkle reduction
- Youthful skin appearance
- SIGNIFICANT hair growth/regrowth (balding bros need to look into this)
- Wound repair
- Gut healing
- Pain relief
- Anti Anxiety
- Mood boost
GHK seems to achieve these effects primarily by turning regenerative genes "on" and destructive genes "off"
Purported MoAs:
- Increase collagen & elastin synthesis
- Increases decorin synthesis (signaling protein involved in wound repair)
- May stimulate the proliferation and migration of stem cells
- Alters expression of "anti-aging" "anti-inflammatory" "antioxidant" and "regenerative" genes
- Stimulates metalloproteinase synthesis
- Suppresses production of excess pro-inflammatory cytokines
GHK-CU is one of the few powerful topically active peptides
GHK CU is commonly sold as a serum at skincare retailers & even giants like Amazon
Keep in mind: Not all GHK-CU serums are created equal, but I can vouch for Mirror Skin Copper Elixit (No I don't have an affiliate link or a discount code, It's simply the BEST GHK product for the money)
This is the one I use and have my family and friends taking.
The serum is great because you just apply it to your face twice per day and you start noticing changes within 3-4 days
****I've also found that it increases hair density when applied to the scalp and this has been widely reported by other serum users, so bros fighting hair loss may want to look into this*****
GHK can also be found in sterile vials for injections from Limitless Life Nootropics. The reason one may opt for injections would be for an all-over anti-aging/ regenerative effect + additional internal healing benefits.
Like all peptides, injections are stronger, but I don't think it's required for GHK for simple face anti-aging and hair growth. GHK appears to typically be administered via subcutaneous injection at 1 to 2mg daily.
Based on the research, GHK appears to be quite safe, but we're currently lacking data on long-term use.
As with any peptide use, there must be a willingness to deal with potential side effects from long-term side use.
Personally, I'm not too worried, and the fact that it's allowed to be sold on Amazon says a lot about the current established safety profile.
If this interests you, talk to an anti-aging doctor about getting a prescription.
Anyway that's the low down on GHK-Cu. I'll be using this regularly for the foreseeable future. LMK if you have any questions in the comments =
