As My family mourns this loss, here are  3 facts about breast cancer in name of raising awareness because our community is disproportionately impacted.

1. Black women have the highest death rate of all racial/ethnic groups for breast cancer.

1. 2. Black women are twice as likely to be diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.

1. 3. The 5-year survival rate for Black women is 81%, compared to 91% for white women.
