Most ADHD education focuses on inattention. The thing that derails lives more often gets far less airtime.

Emotional dysregulation — the intensity of emotional response, the difficulty regulating once activated, the flooding that bypasses rational thought before it can intervene, is present in around 70% of adults with ADHD. It affects relationships, work, self-concept, and the willingness to try again after things go wrong.
