Gaslighting as Governance

They tell us crime is falling as women are raped in public parks and children are assaulted in schools by “new arrivals” we were told would enrich our culture. Question this and you’re a bigot. Notice patterns and you’re a conspiracy theorist. Resist, and you’re the extremist they warned about.

In the UK, people have been arrested for what they post online, up to 30 people a day are arrested. Gaslighting has become the national language: you didn’t see what you saw, you didn’t hear what you heard, and even if you did, it didn’t mean what you think it did.

We are expected to hate our history, apologise for our existence, and treat self-flagellation as virtue, until a war breaks out. Then we are told to forget our sins and roar with patriotic fervour for whatever foreign adventure the regime has decided will distract from the domestic rot.
