RFK Jr. and the broader anti‑vax movement have spent years spreading false claims about vaccine safety, framing it as “just questions” or “freedom,” but the real‑world result is very concrete: more unvaccinated kids, more outbreaks, and preventable hospitalizations and deaths.

What this teaches about mis/disinformation is that:

• Repeated, coordinated lies can undo decades of public‑health progress.

• People will sometimes accept serious harm to others if it fits their ideological story about “freedom” or “corrupt institutions.”

• Once someone is deep in that narrative, each new outbreak can even be reinterpreted as proof of a conspiracy, not a warning to change course.

And the part that hurts was that we NEARLY got rid of this disease.
