I went to an Andy Warhol exhibition this week, and actually felt sad. He grew up in the Byzantine Catholic Church. Looking at his ‘art’ and having read about his past I couldn’t help but think what he could have contributed to art as an expression of the truth, beauty and goodness of God. Instead he celebrated the banal, mundane and ordinary.
