“Indoctrination or “brainwashing” is the process by which a person or group slowly breaks down a person’s sense of identity and trust in oneself to think rationally and independently about what’s being taught.

💡 A time came when I had to soberly face the degree to which this was rife in the modern self-negating ‘nonduality’ / neo-advaita that I was exposed to for years, and face the repercussions of that.
