What a day… what a day 😅

Year-end closing, 31st March. Big presentation. 12 global executives. I’m about to present. No time to review the final details.

Two minutes before I start, I spot it. Slide 3. Contradiction on a growth number.

No time to fix it. I messaged the team and start presenting anyway. Live deck. Quiet panic. Team scrambling behind the scenes like a heist movie, as most had left for the day.

I’m talking… smiling… dying inside… slowly approaching Slide 3 like it’s a ticking bomb.

And then I clicked. I see the incorrect number and right in front of my eyes, the number changes. Fixed. Clean. Like nothing ever happened. People must have seen something change on the table full of numbers, but no one picked on exactly what changed!

I just kept talking. Like nothing happened! Saved by my amazing team!

Because if that number had stayed… my CEO would’ve calmly said, “Perfect, let’s make that the target.” 😄
