Put down on paper your ‘start from scratch’ portfolio and see how that differs from your own. A ‘start from scratch’ portfolio is one where if you had a blank slate today, what would you invest in? What would it look like? Ideally your portfolio always looks a lot like your ‘start from scratch’ portfolio.
