I used to end every day exhausted and call it dedication.

Took me about 15 years to figure out I was confusing depletion with devotion.

Burned-out practitioners don't give less. They give the same amount. They just stop refilling. And eventually you're handing patients an empty cup and wondering why they're not getting better.

The most clinical thing I ever did for my practice was start taking a real lunch break.

Not eating at my desk. Not reviewing files. Sitting outside for 20 minutes with no agenda.

My adjustment quality went up within a week. I can't fully explain that. I don't think I need to.
