I work with intelligent, ambitious daters who can analyze compatibility down to the atom.

They're great at putting in the work. But sometimes they struggle with the hardest dating skill of all: optimism.

How do you keep going in the absence of external evidence that you're “succeeding” at dating?

If you make your happiness conditional on something external happening, that's a surefire recipe for burnout.

In truth, my clients usually find their person when they're already happy about their dating lives.
