The app for independent voices

I am a gay man living in India, and I know what it feels like when people never hear you out, and instead believe and make decisions based on their own, unquestioned assumptions of what they think I need.

When I was depressed and suicidal, all I needed was someone to say:

"How can I help you?"

"How can I be there for you?"

"Could you try talking to me? I promise I won't leave."

Instead I was thrown in a psych ward and forced to sign consent forms.

You did not deserve to be dismissed like that.

You did not have to be put in conversion camp.

It's not fair that you had to go through any of that.

I haven't got the slightest idea of what it feels like to be autistic.

But if you would like someone to talk about it, or anything at all for that matter, I promise to be all ears for you. I promise to provide a safe space in me for you.

This also goes to anyone reading this.
