Twilio is acquiring Stytch, a startup building a developer-centric identity platform for AI agents. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but Twilio will integrate Stytch’s team and authentication tech to bolster its agent authentication and verification offering.
What this means is that soon, Twilio will provide a unified identity across web, mobile, and other touchpoints for humans and agents, the ability to identify humans, trusted and rouge agents, and real-time fraud prevention.
The acquisition is expected to close in mid-November.
