LEXI/FEZ: she works long hours running around for studio execs. when he’s not mentoring at-risk youth on the dangers of dealing, he’s studying for his law degree. what they always make time for?their weekly allotted phone calls. his sentence was harsh, but his good behavior has reduced years off his remaining time. he reminds her not to wait for him. she claims she’s not, despite remaining single all these years…

RUE: thematically, i think rue should die - she’s an omnipresent narrator after all - but i also want to explore the option of the ‘what if she made it?’ proudly sober, she discovers the healing power of nature and how quickly a good hike can calm her nervous system. in s1 she mentioned her love of hospitals, and I think that could carry over into either pursuing nursing or in-patient counseling. she even recommends especially at-risk teens to be mentored by a good friend…

if she dies, an accidental fentanyl overdose is appropriate. she would pass second-to-last episode, with the series final being her funeral. every character, including parents, would be there, in outrageous/inappropriate funeral attire. multiple speeches would be given, the most touching being from Gia. at the post-funeral reception, everyone’s drunk, sad, with a few too many secrets ready to burst…
