I don’t think they’re revived really! We’re still very much in a time when academia teaches commercial fiction books and literary magazines cover mass culture as much as anything else. But I agree it probably won’t be “high vs. low” this time around. (The different binaries I threw up are all overlapping but different, I think?) Probably slop vs. art and I think you’re quite right it will be the most contested in the “low art” spheres.
