The app for independent voices

Want to read more in 2026? Here are a few easy swaps to make:

  • Keep a book by your bedside. When you get into bed, put your phone across the room to charge and commit to reading at least one chapter before you fall asleep.

  • Put the Kindle app icon where your most-used social media app icon is on your home screen. Now when you absentmindedly click there, you’re confronted with books to read instead of an endless stream of noise.

  • Stop buying books you think you "should" read. Only keep books near you that genuinely call to you right now. It’s called “reading for pleasure” for a reason.

  • Keep a book or eReader in your bag for downtime. These tiny pockets of time disappear into your phone – or they can become reading time.

  • Base reading goals on habits, not numbers. "Read 50 books" puts pressure on speed. "Read 15 minutes every morning" builds a sustainable practice.
