The kid regulars at the cafe were bringing the high comedy today.

Notable events:

-Kid watches me greet his parents by name and asks “How do you know EVERYBODY??” (My answer: “I’m magic. I know everybody.”)

-Brother of that kid gets up close toe to toe with with me and does his best dino roar (I did a big caCAW raven squawk back, which he deemed acceptable)

-Child from different family sees me waiting to cross the street to our pastry bakery that’s nearby as they’re getting buckled into the back of their parent’s bike and asks “What are you doing out here on the street??” (My answer, similar to above: “I’m magic. I can go anywhere!”)

The world might feel awful, but there are some hilarious and curious humans growing up who will surely do some interesting things.
