Moneyball by Bennett Miller (2011)

Moneyball plays it cool with spreadsheets and baseball jargon, yet underneath all that numbers sits something a lot more tender: a single dad trying to protect his kid from the fallout of his own ambitions.

As a dad who’s sure to make the wrong decisions but keep showing up anyway, I love this movie. It’s about being present.
