From my small rooftop, I’ve been shouting and shouting a gospel of sacred awe. And in my evangelizing, among the first things I shout is that normalization of the cosmos, of creation, is perilous. Our habitual normalization is antithetical to spirituality. Normalization profanes the sacred. It is harbinger of eventual idolatry. Normalization is faith’s first enemy. Disbelief is not unbelief.
