A year ago, I had about 15 subscribers.
Fifteen.
Not fifteen thousand. Fifteen actual people. And I’m pretty sure a few of them were related to me. Let’s be real, a lot of them were related to me.
Now there are more than 250 of you here, which honestly still surprises me sometimes.
Sitting on the porch today, I got to thinking about how many people say, “I’d love to write a book someday,” or “I’ve always wanted to start a blog,” or “Maybe one day I’ll finally put my work out there.”
But “someday” is sneaky. “Someday” is safe.
That can quietly turn into days, weeks, or even years.
The truth is, most things worth doing start small and awkward. You post the first article. Record the first podcast. Write the first chapter. Launch the thing before you feel fully ready.
You don’t need a giant audience to begin. You just need enough courage to take the first step.
And honestly? Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the writing. It’s pulling the trigger and believing your voice matters before there’s proof that anybody’s listening.
If you’ve been sitting on an idea, this is your sign to start.
Write the page. Post the video. Launch the project. Take the first step…unsure of what will happen.
You might be surprised what God does with consistency and a little bit of courage.
