Thanks for the nomination, Raheem Briggs! I’m currently reading El libro de los Americanos Desconocidos, which is a translation of Cristina Henríquez’s Book of Unknown Americans. It’s about immigrants and migrant families whose stories interweave as they find themselves outsiders together in the same apartment complex. I enjoy reading about all aspects of the human experience, from the light to the profound. This is definitely on the heavier side.
I’m currently reading Before The Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. I’m not finished just yet, but so far I’ve enjoyed the themes of time travel and the exploration of how it aligns with the idea of fate, in the sense that even in changing the past, you still may not be able to impact the present.
