Make money doing the work you believe in

Prof. Marlene Laruelle is a thoughtful student and critic of postliberalism, in a way that is all too rare. I would recommend her new substack to all and sundry. In particular, her point about “lived ideologies” is crucial. As I’ve said, repeatedly, liberalism is not primarily a set of academic theses in political philosophy, but a lived regime, with an organizing principle in Montesquieu’s sense of the term. That is what is of interest, not the latest epicycle on Rawls or whatever.
