What would you cook for your younger self? Delighted to have been asked by Margaux to contribute to this special edition of The Onion Papers to celebrate the paperback publication of her novel ‘Breaststrokes’.
honoured to have been invited by Margaux to write about what i would cook for my younger self, along with some of the most wonderful writers! this is to celebrate the paperback release of her stunning novel Breaststrokes today. i wrote about cooking a chaya and ginger dish i learned to make while working in Belize for my 10-year old self, who was not familiar with vegetables!
I’m so delighted to be part of this compilation of short writings on what to cook for a younger version of yourself, among so many writers whose words I look to. I wrote about my lofty expectations versus my everyday realities of après-ski meals.
