Kniphofia uvaria - Torch lily under Cornus kuosa - Korean Dogwood in the home forest garden. Torch lilly showy blooms display from late spring to autumn, attracting pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds (in their native range ) to gardens. The plant is also highly useful in xeriscaping and drought-tolerant landscapes, as it is resilient once established, tolerates poor soils, and requires minimal watering. Additionally, its dense, grass-like foliage can help with erosion control on slopes.

Beyond ornamentation, certain traditional medicinal uses have been recorded for Kniphofia uvaria, including treating stomach complaints and skin conditions, though these applications are not widely supported by modern clinical evidence.
