The most obvious reason is also the simplest; because such a thing removes any responsibility from human parties relating to sightings, encounters, abductions, etc. Virtually anything can be blamed on this non-human intelligence, and if the audience is made up of true believers they will buy it hook, line, and sinker.

To see how effective this can be, one needs only to take a casual glance at the breadth of UFO literature over the decades. For instance, the book Gods of Eden by William Bramley, often touted by our pal George Knapp, blames nearly every ill in the history of human civilization on these non-human interlopers. Sure, human beings are involved the scheming as well, but behind the curtain pulling the strings are always the shadowy, powerful, alien entities.

Additionally, “God, family, country”, that's an odd diatribe to spout off while discussing UFOs. Or, is it?

Discerning individuals will recognize that the modern UFO disclosure movement, which you are now involved in furthering, was rooted in nationalism all along.
