Today is Super Bowl Sunday. A lot of mainstream, conservative types are upset about Bad Bunny. I do not see how Kid Rock is much better. The halftime show has sucked for decades. I would think any fan whose team is comepting in the Super Bowl would rather not be bothered by some stupid halftime show, or the inane commercials.

In any case, for those who have not yet read this analysis and review, Big Fan offers a devastating look at sportsball fandom. As I point out in this critique, it is a particularly negative, even grotesque portrayal, but I do not think it typifies all or perhaps even most men who support a particular team with arden fanaticism. The word “fan” of course is derived from the noun “fanatic.” Still, this film raises hard questions for fans, questions that are not easy to answer. Those who seek material to aid in dialogue denouncing sportsball would be well advised to see this film and read this critique.

Here is a meme to help induce interest. I suppose I need to edit to include the ravenscall website and logo.
