It is worth it to engage with people who do not agree with your opinions or your views. It is also worth it to fight against racism and bigotry, no matter who it comes from. I invested too many hours today speaking with women from different backgrounds, and the common theme was overwhelming hate. The number of women who are attacking the trans community is both astounding and heartbreaking. There is no reason for any of this.

Some of the most important people in my life are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I will never stop advocating for them to be able to live freely and exist as anyone else.

Most of the people in my life come from different racial backgrounds, different socioeconomic backgrounds, different generations. We commonly come together in support of other communities because without that community mindset, our society fails.

I will never stop using my platform to advocate for equality. Being called a “white savior” after explaining why I use my platform, especially as a white woman who has privilege, it further shows that some people will find reasons to pick a fight instead of listening.

I am here by choice, and no one's opinion about who I am or my life will change anything that I am doing. I have been dealing with this bullshit for 18 years. I almost lost my life over something that I didn’t do, and I lost the best thing that was in my life when I lost my daughter, Caylee. No one can take anything from me again.

I will repeat myself as kindly and directly as I can, your opinion of me means nothing to me, unless you are someone who is actively part of my life. Beyond that, enjoy whatever your opinions are, good, bad, or otherwise. That does not affect what I do for a living, it does not affect how I view myself as a 40-year-old woman, and it does not affect how fiercely I will fight for every single one of you, regardless of who you are or where you come from.

For those of you who hate on the trans community, I mean this from the bottom of my heart, go fuck yourself. All anyone is trying to do is live an authentic life. You have zero right to judge or condemn them because you are either too ignorant to understand, or too selfish to accept that their life has no bearing on your existence.

For the women attacking the trans community, I will say this again, you should be ashamed of yourselves!

For anyone else in a marginalized community who is attacking the trans community, you should be the most ashamed of yourselves!

Anyone who has been racially profiled or discriminated against, or told that they are lesser than because you look different, or live differently than someone else, to ever turn around and project that hate onto another person, you are the lowest of low. Your hate will never surpass the love that surrounds these communities, and it will far outlast your bigotry.

Equality for all people means ALL people.
