Take a deep breath folks. Hold my hand, let’s get into it.
“theorangecrumble: A retired top U.S. General just pulled the mask all the way off.
Pete Hegseth didn’t purge military leadership because they were “weak.” He purged them because they wouldn’t kneel to his deranged Christian nationalist fantasy.
The Army’s Chief of Chaplains was reportedly pushed out because people inside the military dared to reject the idea that American soldiers are fighting for Jesus instead of the Constitution.
Read that again.
These are not pastors running a revival tent. These are leaders of the United States military. Their oath is to defend the Constitution, not serve as foot soldiers in Trump and Hegseth’s extremist religious cosplay.
And that’s exactly why they had to go.
Anyone in uniform who still believes in democracy, pluralism, religious freedom, or civilian duty to the Constitution is now a threat to this administration’s twisted little loyalty cult.
Trump doesn’t want generals with integrity. He wants obedient fanatics.
Hegseth doesn’t want chaplains who serve all troops. He wants ideological enforcers who turn the military into a weaponized church with assault rifles.
This is what authoritarianism looks like before it fully announces itself.
First they purge the adults.
Then they replace them with loyalists.
Then they tell the country God is on their side while they gut every institution meant to protect us.
This is not patriotism.
This is fascism with a Bible taped to it.
If you’re turning the U.S. military into a Christian nationalist cult, you are not defending America.
You are trying to hijack it.”
