Today’s piece by Robert Reich suggests the argument that hyperpolarisation is the problem rather than trump is bullshit.

With all due respect Mr Reich, I think you are incorrect. Data clearly shows that hyper polarisation predates trump by a good decade or more. The seeds were laid in the neoliberal era, then logarithmically expanded by the growth of social media.

I would argue that trump could only have become president because of hyper polarisation.
