I have some sympathy with Fergie. I have some sympathy with all scrappy underdogs. But ultimately, I feel that she enabled her husband’s vile and abusive behavior. And for that reason I don’t find her shoes that she wore to an event earlier this week embroidered with the words, “ Never complain never explain“ very endearing. This was the Queen‘s famous advice for dealing with Press criticism. The difference is that the queen never did anything even 1/100th as wrong as Andrew and Fergie have done. I actually think it’s disrespectful to the Queen‘s Legacy of uncomplaining dignity.
