The cardiometabolic benefits of high fat cheese and yogurt have been apparent for decades. What is mind-blowing is that nutritional guidelines continue to recommend low or non-dairy-fat versions.
Also, as pointed out in the intro to this paper, the MIND diet classified cheese as unhealthy. Of course, when subjected to an RCT the MIND diet failed to show any benefits.
Could this be because cheese was inappropriately vilified?
