In our collective, we are reading The Artist’s Way and in it Julia speaks of taking yourself out on a date each week.

I was going to take myself to the art museum yesterday, but they are closed until tomorrow. I’ll be going then.

But this mornings walk was especially calm. The air was crisp combined with the sun’s warmth felt so good. There came a point where I looked down a way I hadn’t been before.

So I decided to take myself out on a date in that moment, a path unexplored. It was so worth it. I can’t even begin to describe all of the moments that happened, but I’ll leave you with the biggest gift I found.

It was a flag sitting on a metal stake in front of a persons home, and on their front door was a wreath shaped like a peace sign.

The sign said, “Imagine a world where everyone is living in peace.”
