New analysis of accounts by Times Higher Education shows that vice-chancellors are being paid more than ever. That comes as tuition fees are set to rise again for students. Oxford’s Vice-Chancellor, Irene Tracey, was paid £666,000 last year, an increase of £93,000 on last year. That was an overall package that included £188,000 for her accommodation. Tracey turned down an 8% base salary increase.
