Make money doing the work you believe in

For some of you, it was never about love of country—it was about love of a country only where your views were preeminent.

For others, it was never about morality—it was about your brand of morality dictating social norms, thus establishing your perceived superiority.

For many of you, it was never about God—it was about worshipping a political deity of your own creation who echoed and excused your self-centered enshrinement of individualism.

The complicity is astounding.

Don't tell me you give half-a-damn about God or morality or justice or fairness—then turn yourself into an ethical pretzel to salvage your own delicate, political identity. An identity so deeply cloaked in a myopic focus on angering your opponents that you've long quit caring about truth or consistency.

There has rarely been a greater evangelist for humanism than the self-righteous hypocrisy of those who claim absolute truth—then use it as a political cudgel to venerate themselves and their tribe.

Consider this my line drawn in the sand.
