As always, Alison Wade leaves no stone unturned in her exploration of the current state of support for pro women runners in pregnancy. I liked this point from Molly Huddle. Outside of NB sharing that great shot of Ellie St. Pierre when she was pregnant brands definitely don’t utilize their athletes well: “She also thinks brands often miss opportunities to collaborate with pregnant athletes, through content, appearances, or product testing, which could support marketing goals and ease the pressure some athletes feel to justify their contracts. “In my experience, you’re just kind of on the shelf until you return to racing,” she said.”

Fast Women: Babies? Yes. Support? Sometimes.
