In my episode on Chic and Le Freak, I mentioned that by the end of the seventies Chic had stopped scoring hits but continued releasing albums for several years.

What I really meant was: they stopped scoring hits on the pop charts, or to be even more precise, on the US pop charts.

Because on the dance charts, they continued to have success. They even scored another #1.

On this day in 1992 Chic reached the top spot with their comeback track Chic Mystique.
