I’m a happy man whenever I get the chance to add a Rick James song or video to my feed 😁

As I’ve said before: I’m a big fan of his work.

The moment one of his dance tracks starts playing, my body instantly wants to move.

It’s infectious.

So if one of his songs reaches #3 on the dance charts, that’s already reason enough to program it here.

Back in 1978, Rick James wasn’t jumping on the Eurodisco train.

He simply kept doing what he was brilliant at:

Making funky dancefloor records.

“You & I” is a perfect example.

Big club hit. Not a #1…

…but it still climbed all the way to #3.
