The app for independent voices

What an astute comment, thank you Leah. Much of what I focus on is those biological differences, always maintaining that the physiological is the foundation for all other things, as it informs every aspect of our experiences—both innate and external, so it probably goes without saying that I am in full agreement with everything you touch on here.

I think many people have a very skewed sense of both freedom and their expectations surrounding it as a value. They also simultaneously pedestal the value as the highest good, which leads us as a culture to tend to be irritated with, mock, and try to find “solutions” for the things which provide friction to that malformed version of freedom. Boundaries become trivial, objective becomes subjective, etc, you know the drill.

I appreciate your distinction between being compelled and choosing, as I think a more holistic conception of freedom is where women (and men) do both—when they choose to accept what it is they are compelled to do via their embodied nature.

I will be reading your linked article and actually just ordered your book, which I am eager to read!
