Hi, I’m writing to ask for positive messages for a wonderful family of 5 who are asylees here in the U.S. They have been on a 4-year-long journey toward permanent status, and the past year has been filled with stress and uncertainty. The parents work hard to support their 3 children and pay medical bills. The dad, in particular, struggles with health challenges while holding down a grueling and dangerous job. This week marks a milestone: they are about to submit their green card applications. Can we tell them that we’re glad they’re here and we’re rooting for them?
